On 8 September 2026, Aspiring Brothers’ BA-FLS-NX5 Floating LiDAR System was formally granted Stage 3 commercial maturity status under the Carbon Trust Offshore Wind Accelerator (OWA) Roadmap for the Commercial Acceptance of Floating LiDAR Technology v3.0 (June 2025) — marking…
Another Typhoon, Another Test for the Same Group of Systems On August 28, 2026, Typhoon No. 18 Saudel made landfall along the coast of Zhejiang Province as a typhoon, with maximum sustained winds reaching Force 12 (35 m/s). Following Typhoon…
On August 9, Typhoon No. 13 Dolphin made landfall in Yuhuan, Taizhou, Zhejiang Province as a severe typhoon, reaching Force 14. Its track closely resembled that of Typhoon Bavi one month earlier, again affecting the coastal areas of Zhejiang and Fujian. With…
Multiple Offshore Projects Face the Challenge of Typhoon Bavi On July 11, 2026, Typhoon Bavi brought extreme weather conditions to China’s southeast coast, affecting multiple offshore wind projects. During the event, multiple BA-FLS-NX5 floating LiDAR systems deployed by our operated within the…
In long-term ocean monitoring scenarios, biofouling on sensors is one of the core pain points affecting data quality and equipment stability. Once the equipment is submerged, algae, shellfish, microbial films and other organisms gradually attach to the sensor probes, optical…
Highlights There are significant differences between onshore and offshore wind measurement in terms of environmental conditions, device requirements, and data collection difficulty. Offshore wind measurement faces complex marine environments such as high salt spray, strong corrosion, and large waves, which…
Blue Aspirations’ floating LiDAR wind measurement system has achieved six months of successful, stable operation in an international offshore area. Powered by the advanced technical solutions and rigorous operation and maintenance management, the system delivers exceptional system stability and data…
Recently, Oldbaum Services has officially released an OWA Stage 2+ verification report for Aspiring Brothers after conducting a systematic evaluation of wind speed, wind direction, and turbulence intensity, as measured by one ZX continuous-wave (CW) LiDAR and one WindCube pulsed LiDAR installed on its…
Reprint from powerphilippines，for industry information purposes only and not for commercial use. For a country with vast coastlines and strong monsoon patterns, the Philippines’ offshore wind potential has long been immense yet underdeveloped. According to Aspiring Brothers CEO Jefferson Hou, one…
